Variant by Robinson Wells

Action, Adventure, suspense, and Mystery. This book has plenty of all of that. This book follows Benson Fisher, a foster kid who has never found a permanent home. He hears about this school and get a scholarship. once he arrives he finds out that there is more to this school than he read about it. He finds out about the groups or gangs as they are called and you have to join one once you arrive at the school. he keeps finding a way to try and escape. He can't escape and must follow all the rules or get detention. No one ever comes back from detention. this book keeps you interested and is nonstop keeping you on the edge of your seat. the ending was just a big what!!!! I can't wait to read Feedback, the sequel to variant. I give this book a 4 out of 5. I'll see you next time with a new book from my shelf.

Percy jackson and the olympians series books review

I have waited till I had read the entire series so I could do one collective review on all five novels. I loved the book. they are amazing and rick riordan's cliffhangers. I finished heroes of Olympus a few weeks ago. and I can't wait till house of hades. I will post a lost hero and son of Neptune  review in the next few weeks and I will post a mark of Athena review before House of hades is released. My favorite characters I the series are Thalia, Clarisse, Annabeth, and Nico. I paid more attention to those charaters than anyone else. I felt sad for Nico at the end of titans curse. this series is great for everyone even if you don't like Greek gods the action and adventure will keep you interested. the last book in the series was one of the best. I think that is my favorite one of all. The epic battle that we have all been waiting for finally arrives. Percy finally confronts Kronos. I have to say that I felt sorry for Luke. I thought he was kind of a jerk for a while but then you realized why he did what he did. so overall these book will suck you in and the crush your hearts and lift your spirit. these books are good and you will enjoy them. I give this entire series a perfect 5 out of 5. Come back soon and check out what's new on my bookshelf.

The Son of Sobek by Rick Riordan short story review

This was definitely an interesting story. This story is a Kane Chronicles and Percy Jackson and the Olympians crossover. This story take place when a monster is going around New York  and is terrorizing the place. this story is from Carter Kane's point of view he runs into Percy because they are both hunting the same creature but when they meet they get into a huge fight. Once they band together they fight the creature and save the town. it is worth the read. and it also contains a sneak peek from the next book in the Heroes of Olympus series House Of Hades. the sneak peek isn't a big cliffhanger but is does leave you with a few questions that you will have to wait till October to find out the answers. I hope you all enjoyed this and keep looking for a new book review. Come back soon to see what's new on my bookshelf.

Divergent by Veronica Roth review

First of all I have to say that I loved this book. it was full of adventure and action. I loved this book and I could not stop reading it. it takes place in a post-apocalyptic Chicago where there are five factions.  The five factions each have a certain characteristic. the main characters in this book are Tris prior and her brother Caleb, Tobias, Peter, Christina, and Will. Christina is Tris's  best friend once they move to the Dauntless compound. The story  follows Tris Prior and her journey into her new faction. she goes the intense dauntless initiation.  there is knife throwing, jumping off of buildings, fighting, simulations, capture the flag at midnight. this book is very interesting. I cant wait fo rthe fil version to come out next year. they have just released the first photo from the film and it is the knife throwing scene from the  book. they have picked Shailene Woodley as Beatrice Prior for the film. it is an amazing book. it has something for everyone it has romance, action, adventure, suspense, and much more. I give this book a 5 out of 5. I loved this book and I couldn't stop reading it. it is an amazing book. I am reading the sequel right now and I will be posting a review on it sometime soon. I hoped you guys enjoyed and I'll see you next time with a new book on my shelf.

Mark of athena by rick riodan review

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. this will not be like a normal blog with a summary and then  my opinion on the book. this is just going to be my opinion and thought on the book. the real review will come before House of Hades the fourth book in the series in released. my first thought on the book was that it was amazing. I loved having the Annabeth point of view and having Annabeth's lone quest. overall I thought the book was amazing and that's not even the right word to describe how epic this book was. I loved it, it is probably my favorite one in the series so far. At the end of the book when Percy and Annabeth fall into the TarTarus together made me scream and throw my book at the wall.  I couldn't believe Riordan ended the book that way. I can;\'t wait for house of hade to come out be cause the end of the book just left you hanging and wanting more. you wonder if they die, but then Nico says that he feels that they are still alive. I really hope that there will be a Nico point of view in the next book. I can't believe that House of Hades is still months away. Rick Riordan can you please give me a sneak peek at House of Hades. Leave comments on what books I should review next. I'll see you guys soon with another book from my shelf.

Book review Struck by lightning by Chris Colfer

The book starts out with Carson Philips explain what happened with his parents and grandmother. he tells the story of how he got his car and how he visits his grandmother daily. he then begins to describe his town.  he says what happened to the town when they got a movie theater and why he hope they don't get an airport. then he goes on to describing what his high school   is like. he compares it to a prison yard. He is the editor of his school newspaper and one of the two members of the writers club other than his friend Malerie. the story goes on wit him explaining why he wants to leave his home town and escape to the university of his dreams Northwestern. he goes through high school day talking about the ridicule from his fellow classmates. he talks to his guidance counselor about his plans for the future. he gets news that he may have to do more to get in to the college of his dreams. he decides to write a literary magazine. he blackmails students from his high school to write short stories, poem, and whatever they choose to write. once he received all the submissions he send a copy to Northwestern only to find out that his mother threw out his acceptance letter and won't be able to reapply for two years. while upset he drives to the edge of town and hits the sign with his umbrella and destroys it. no one buys his magazines, so he end up donating them to his grandmothers retirement home. while taking them to his car a storm stars and he get struck by lightning and dies.
I believe this book was very well written and very enjoyable. I think any high school student would be able to relate to some of what he says. This book is very funny. I couldn't put it down. I love this book. Chris Colfer is an extremely good author and I recommend this book to all readers. I rate this book a 4.5 out of 5.
leave suggestions on what books you think I should review next.
